A leader in permanent beta...
My life’s work: “To be highly knowledgeable, capable and hungry in leading and supporting the people I live and work with and to lead others in powerful and effective uses of vision casting, strategy, and history….And to do it all with an understanding heart.” This is my personal blog, as such nothing posted here reflects anything more than my personal opinion. Long time pilot, innovator, strategist, artist, provocateur, writer, student, lover of Sundie Lark… 3 awesome boys…Luke, Harley, and Max.The blog began on google docs where many of us shared articles from a myriad of sources from a very diverse base. The blog was started in an effort to share articles on leadership, strategy, spiritual matters and an occasional article on music…eventually sharing the documents on google and emailing became overwhelming.Pondering many things from Leadership, National Strategy, Visioneering, Networking, God, Family, Friends, politics, very much a Christian in process and maturing (I hope), mountain biking, education, Star Wars, Batman, aircraft, cars, policy, history, the decline of empire…good food, fitness, surfing, hiking, outdoors, rock climbing, kayaking, the 49ers, The Clash, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, smooth jazz, classical music… but where would one go to find such things?
The goal is simple…communicate, collaborate, and share creative thoughts with as many people as possible and in the end–hoping we help generate audacious, stronger, strategic and “greater good” leaders.
You will note posts from a large variety of sources to include many original pieces. Most are pulled from newspapers, magazines, zite, other curator sites, and the like. Posts that are not original will have the author clearly credited, and when possible links to the piece as well as the posting source are provided. A goal is to post everyday…
Side note: Some have asked where the blog name Mastermind Century Group originated from. As an US Air Force Officer, I have been blessed to command three very different and very unique organizations: Two of which we took into combat… The 15th Air Mobility Operations Squadron (OEF, OIF, Tsunami Relief, Rita) where we quickly coined the moniker the “Masterminds.” The second command was with the 100th Operations Group (OEF, OOD/OUP/Libya): or the “Century Group,” which proudly traces its roots back to WWII and the “Greatest Generation.” The 100th Bomb Group or the “Bloody Hundredth” served with great distinction and the 100th Operations Group continues that proud heritage today.
